ok so i hit a pothole downtown awhile ago. thought the caliper was bad and was locked up on my rotor. Turns out the rotor is the problem after i took off the wheel.
my question is what's supposed to be in the verry center of the rotor? a bearing or does it just get pushed onto the axle?
this picture should explain it for me but just thought i would ask some of you guys who have experience or a bently manual

thanks to whoever's pic this is.

Re: just a quick question involving the rotors (VRyan6)

yeah that's what i thought. just when i took off the wheel there was a nut a washer and small chunks of metal. So i have no clue what really could of been in there.
i tried driving home after i hit the pothole really bad. Took a dump on me about 20 minutes after i hit it.

http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif what he said...the bearing is in the knuckle, the nut in question needs to be torqued to 60 somethin ftlbs. Good Luck and have fun.

front will have a large nut for the axle. Bearing is on the otherside of the rotor, pressed into the hub.
Rear has 2 bearings pressed into the rotor from either side.. large nut again holding it onto the stub axle.
