Is the SRT-4 lighter, I'll be at the track this weekend and two of my buddies have the SRT-4. How will a GLI that is chipped "neuspeed P-chip", cat-back exhaust, and intake hold up against a SRT-4? Sorry if this has been asked, but I couldn't find it.

damnright,my buddy has a mk4 apr with gt turbo, and its so funny seeing srt go down.

Anyway I come here for a little guidance/help not to get in fights. I’m just curious to see what someone with more knowledge about these cars than me had to say. I’m looking at spending a few dollars and wanted other opinions, before I bought something that really isn’t as good as advertised. The reason the SRT-4 was mentioned is two of my friends have them, and we are going to the track soon.

my friend drives a 04 GLI with giac-x+ chip, intake, n75j, forge bov, 3'' turboback, and short shifter. and he raced another friend with an 04 srt with a short shifter, motor mounts, and a stronger clutch, and it was dead even. but they went from a 40 roll. so, it takes alot for a 1.8T to even keep up with an SRT4. but in most cases, the 1.8T will get walked everytime.
