my father had a 85 Bonneville Brougham (big boat)
bought it used from a dealership, they even rustproofed and painted before he bought. part of the purchase price included a fresh wax n seal.
high school kid ran into it before the wax went on. kid didn't have insurance, so skipped.
my dad never got paid on it. he hasn't had a car he's really proud of since.
(maybe that's why he's on my back about the golf...)

i just heard from his insurance company today that he claimed HER as a witness, she was backing out AFTER him.. all she could have seen was him hit my car, but im guessing they are making up a BS story, my friends dad saw it happen and from the damage OBVIOUSLY he hit me, i was stopped when he hit me
he also backed ACROSS a double yellow (solid) ..
im going to my ins place today for them to take pics and such
if they dont give me enough (his ins) then i am demanding they fix it, if they give me 1500 or so then i will take that and buy the car back..
as for the shell.. i had a focus shell and im getting rid of it soon (parted it out) but my dad said no more.. so i dont know ,ill see what happens after his ins company and mine finalizes everything

Well, make sure the check is big enough before accepting it... otherwise, capture his wife and send him a piece of her everyday, he'll eventually come back with a better offer!http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

ok so i guess his wife was backing out behind him so when it happened she was in her car and in HIS driveway ACROSS the street and he named her as a witness and they are BOTH claiming that we both backed into each other
right now his insurance company is only going to pay half the damages, we are gonna have to talk to his agent more tommorrow
he is completely lying, first of all, HOW in the world would he know that MY CAR WAS MOVING? if he could see my car moving, then why the **** did he hit me?
my car was STOPPED and it is obvious because the impact is straight on and there are no horizontal marks
if this doesnt get straightened out with his insurance company and they pay me in full, for a good price, then i am taking whatever i can get from them and taking his ass to small claims court, where i will file all the cost of parts.. the cost of the damage that the insurance didnt pay.. for my time working on the car and my time pursuing him etc.
this is complete bull****, he KNOWS he hit me, he is just trying to take the easy way out.
ill update tommorrow i guess

im buying back the car no matter what (or taking it back if his ins only pays 50%)
my dad wont let me get a shell, like i said ive got a focus one in taht spot right now and he said once that one is gone i cant get anything else to put there, he doesnt like the stuff laying around..
for now i will just drive it like it is i guess
