Re: AC trouble....need help ASAP..if u know AC please read (Dan J Reed)

I didnt add anything else to it. i though vacuuming the system was to remove dirty fromit.
i was careful not to allow that to happen http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i had the system vacuumed and refilled. the compressor still wouldnt work. we ran a wire directly from the battery to the compressor. it engaged and worked pefectly.

i was told my radiator fan control module is bad. i am getting a new one today.

the device to check if you pressurized the system but the compressor wouldn't come on is the pressure switch on the receiver/drier. if it fails, the compressor won't come on. you can remove and replace the switch without losing refrigerant because it is mounted on a schrader valve (large tire pressure/inflation type valve). just screw it off.

I found out that my radiator fan control module was bad. I replaced it and the ac works well now. I need to replace one of the plugs though. It is full of corrosion. I am not sure what to try and clean it with. It is nasty

vw puts a kind of protective grease in the plugs which gets to looking bad over time but is not necessarily interferring with anything electrically.

this stuff is a funky green gritty goo
looks like corrosion big time......after cleaning it even more, i found that the smaller plug has a burn mark on it too

time to replace that plug.
the fans are not turning on at all.....even with the ac on.
i am going to replace that plugs to that box and replace the relay in the relay panel. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
