My car was totaled (similar accident, someone t-boned me in a parking lot at 5mph, but I was moving too and my rear door caught their bumper) for a grand value of $1500, minus $300 resale value and minus $25 junk value, I got it, and $1000. A hammer to the pillar, and a $70 new door later, i was back on the road.

yeah i am going to buy it back, im just fighting to get as much as i can from his insurance
once i can get the door open i will stick a pole onto the door post and try and bend it back .. and get a hammer etc. doesnt seem to be any Lower frame damage that would effect the alignment
just sucks

but if i get 1000 or a little less after buying it back... i can get some coilovers or something .. still not what i would want to happen though

I dont' think anybody really would argue you on this.
does the door open at all?

Dude he should be charged with insurance fraud, him and his wife. How can he say you were moving, if the damage clearly shows a clear hit with no scrape marks?! It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Lying about something like this constitutes insurance fraud and he should be punished justly. You don't LIE straight out and try to screw a guy over.

heh .. yeah thats my friends dad, not involved, but oh **** nonetheless
as for the insurance fraud, yes that guy is spewing a bunch of BS .. i will send his ins company the pics tommorrow showing the impact area and you can clearly tell i was not moving, also like i said, you can tell he is spewing BS because he had NO CLUE whether i was moving or not, if he had of seen my car, he might not of hit me..

wow I'm glad I don't live in the USA I wonerd why your insurence is so cheap now I know. We arnt aloud to drive without insurence its a near $400 fine plus points which is more money but even if we are hit by a person without insurence we are still covered so we would get our money for are car. My friends friend took his car out for a joy ride crashed it now owes the insurence agent they money they paid my friend out for that car. So basicly if you do something and dont have insurence like crash into someone you are sued by the insurence agent for w/e you cost them, almost positive that how it work in my province.
Sorry about ur car dude ur seats look to be good seats make sure u get them back.

Any movement of the frame. I learned this the hard way. My B pillar was ever so slightly twist4ed, my front door closed hard and the back door even seemed to work (but wouldn't with a new door on it). They total it becuase of the huge cost it takes to "correctly" fix it, when putting it on a frame puller.

well im gonna try and work everything out with his insurance today
im gonna start looking for a diesel golf shell .. no smog in CA ..
i should be getting some money + a ****ed up car back , so i think with a bout $800 or so i will have enough to do a mid engine .. ill drive the car for now and work on the shell making it mid engine.. maybe
