So last night...
I am at a light going straight.
3 lanes, 2 of which go straight the middle and right. I am in the right lane.
Across the highway the right lane goes for about 600ft and then it merges with the left lane to go straight. Now there are no merge or yield signs but I have been living and driving there for a while now that I know that I have to move over.
I have my blinker on I am halfway in the left lane. I check my mirrors/blind spot and I see this truck F250 flying way over 25mph, does not yield to let me go.
I had two choices, either let him hit me or avoid getting hit.
I choose the latter and my right side went off the pavement. That’s when I heard the loudest bang in my life. My stomach wound up in the throat. Both front and rear tires hit this hole that was surrounded by pieces of curb.
I have never seen this hole before, but after everything happen it looked sooo nasty.
The result: Right front tire blown 4" slice through the rubber. Rim scuffed, possibly bent.
Right rear rim has a black scuff the same like the front where the tire blew, but the tire was all right.
I change my tire, but the donut on the front.
As I am pulling away I notice that in order to drive straight the steering wheel has to be tilted to the left.
I am thinking that my alignment went, or b.c the difference in the 2 front rims from stock longbeaches to the steelie.
Should I take this misfortune to do the suspension to my car and the brakes. I have a full R32 brake set sitting in my garage.
I was thinking for suspension to go either 3 routes:
1.H&R Cup Kit + H&R Rear Sway 28mm
2.Bilstein Sport Shocks & H&R Race Springs + H&R Rear Sway 28mm
3.Shine Real Street Suspension Kit
Or Go get a new set of 18" rims and tires to make sure the R32 brakes will fit.
