So last night...
I am at a light going straight.
3 lanes, 2 of which go straight the middle and right. I am in the right lane.
Across the highway the right lane goes for about 600ft and then it merges with the left lane to go straight. Now there are no merge or yield signs but I have been living and driving there for a while now that I know that I have to move over.
I have my blinker on I am halfway in the left lane. I check my mirrors/blind spot and I see this truck F250 flying way over 25mph, does not yield to let me go.
I had two choices, either let him hit me or avoid getting hit.
I choose the latter and my right side went off the pavement. That’s when I heard the loudest bang in my life. My stomach wound up in the throat. Both front and rear tires hit this hole that was surrounded by pieces of curb.
I have never seen this hole before, but after everything happen it looked sooo nasty.
The result: Right front tire blown 4" slice through the rubber. Rim scuffed, possibly bent.
Right rear rim has a black scuff the same like the front where the tire blew, but the tire was all right.
I change my tire, but the donut on the front.
As I am pulling away I notice that in order to drive straight the steering wheel has to be tilted to the left.
I am thinking that my alignment went, or b.c the difference in the 2 front rims from stock longbeaches to the steelie.
Should I take this misfortune to do the suspension to my car and the brakes. I have a full R32 brake set sitting in my garage.
I was thinking for suspension to go either 3 routes:
1.H&R Cup Kit + H&R Rear Sway 28mm
2.Bilstein Sport Shocks & H&R Race Springs + H&R Rear Sway 28mm
3.Shine Real Street Suspension Kit
Or Go get a new set of 18" rims and tires to make sure the R32 brakes will fit.

I'd say do all of them (suspension and brakes), sorry it took that mis-fortune to get to this point. If it were me, I would of made the left lane change and hit the sucker! Then take him to court to drain his wallet, not to mention a couple points on his driving record

Last night. I took the donut off the front and switched it to the rear. So now both front tires are the same. I took it for a drive. The steering wheel is still crooked, and the car seemed to pull to the right side.
I am taking to a shop today.

Lane changers, even when their lane ends, must yield to the traffic in the other lane. Having lived in CA for many years, I know this is true even where you live. So, if he would have followed your advice, he would have been wrong, and if the cops were called, he would have been cited for failing to yield. Any more "good" advice for him?
