Retrofit Post-96 suspension on a pre-96 car?

Hey guys...quick question.
I am wondering if a post-96 cup kit/coilovers will fit on a pre-96 mk3? If so, what parts will I need to replace/purchase? I have searched, but no one seems to know the exact answer. I know as far as VR6 and 2.0, they are interchangable with minor modifications....is this the case here?

you wannt put in the 96+ one anyways its stronger

its the spring caps that are different, i own a 96 and just went through this 2 weeks ago.

Holy moly that was quick!
Ok, so all I need is the spring caps, correct?
How much do they run for, and could I pick these up at a local jun-yard? If not which site would have these?

i bought new ones at the dealer for peanuts, im pretty sure a pair were like 12cdn.
