When I turn the car on, but don`t start the engine, the fuel pump will prime as normal and the isv buzzes but it also gives a `click` every 5 seconds or so as well as buzzing, is this normal?
Reading on here it sounds like the ECU is re-booting, but the fuel pump only primes on the first turn of the key?
I`m using the G60 for sparks and ISV control at the moment and it seems to be doing the job fine, just interested to see if I had a fault with the ecu or not?
Cheers

Re: G60 ECU Fault? (KeithMac)

if the ecu was rebooting it would case serious misfiring from spark timing not matching the hall signal.
basically it would buck like a mofo. I am quite familiar with this. All it takes is a damaged chip/ecu. The time required to restart the ecu and resync to the hall signal is too much time due to internal checks and timers

I would suggest just trying out a new ISV or cleaning yours out with some brake cleaner fluid. But if you do remember to let it sit for a little bit to make sure it is 100% dry when you put it back

check your coolant temperature sensor the blue one on the front of your engine. I know if it is unplugged that the isv valve will click every couple of seconds. not sure if thats the problem
