Re: Revo SPS3 1.1 Settings (Valthar)

Right now Im running timing 5, which is generally accepted as the highest timing you want to run without race gas or octane boosters. As to boost, I have heard that setting the boost to 6 is a good plan, however I have an mbc from boostvalve, so there is no real need to adjust it with the sps3, though I believe Im set to high boost 7. I see about 20-21 psi with what I have it set to now. The mods are in the sig.
With the timing settings at what I have it at, I see timing retard of less then 3 degrees on 93, so adjusting it to that would be pretty safe without checking vag-com. I would recommend checking out the revotechnik website if you haven't already and are interested in more information, they have a pretty decent tuning guide if you serach around for it, its close to the sps3 page.

Re: Revo SPS3 1.1 Settings (SoniqGTI)

boost lvl 7
Timing (performance setting 5 I think?)
Just did this last night, car felt faster, , def more kick midrange, but my boost wasn't spiking much higher...I dont get it =O
Are the boost settings just how aggressive the boost is with tapering off? ie, having boost 7 rings the ko3sport out more as the rpms rise, more boost requested etc?

What kind of boost levels are you seeing? Im not speaking from experience, seeing as how I have an mbc and control boost that way, but it should increase the boost, try setting it to 9 and what that does, dont leave it there too long though, its never the greatest to run high boost for awhile. However, Revo does have an upper limit I believe, so you can only turn it up so far, usually around 20-21 psi. Any higher you risk hitting limp mode which is a drag, and the turbo isnt efficent past that anyway.

1QuickDub <- Finds it interesting how some people will only post in threads such as "How do I use my sps device" and not in the ones such as "XXXX software is in Beta to run with a MAF"
