A nice mod for your Rabbit. I needed a longer shift rod to clear my Recaro Trophys so I don't need this anymore.

how does it shift, is it tight? I had every single bushing replaced in the entire system except for this and its still a bit soggy front to back and side to side...

I never drove with it. I bought it hoping it would clear my Recaros, but it was too short. I had to weld a piece to my stock shifter to lengthen it and that's what I'm running now.
A lot of people have this shifter in their MK1 so perhaps someone else can chime in.

It'll fit any MK1 as far as I know. Mine is a 5-speed GTI.
