Heres my car as it sits now, as you can see the front is slightly lower than the rear. The thing I am concerned about is, in that picture both the front and rear are lowered COMPLETELY. I thought I would be able to go much lower, at least the front with the coil all the way down. Now I had them installed by a shop so I am not exactly sure what they did but is there anything I can do to get the front (and back) to go down lower. As for the back, would removing the upper spring perch and cutting the bumpstops a bit help? Thanks

i think your supposed to cut the bumpstops regardless.
i do thank that is really really low, why would you want to go lower? winter is coming

i second this, especially if you live in NY

Re: (turbo7387)

Regardless of the coming winter, I still am wondering why my car cant go lower in the front and rear. Yes i know that the front is already plenty low enough and I was not really planning on lowering it more but to get it that low i had to turn the coil all the way down and at that point, the front should sit much lower than it is i think. As for the rear, it clearly has to go a little lower down so it sits even with the front. When people talk of cutting down bumpstops, is that only for the rear or for the front as well?

Re: (necromanx13x)

The front probably came with KW bumpstops, so they shouldn't need to be cut. I don't believe KW coilovers come with rear bumpstops, so the stock ones should be cut. I believe i cut then down to between 1 and 2 lumps left. They might settle a little bit and make your car lower, so you should probably wait a few weeks to see if it will.
To get the front lower, you can remove the helper spring (the smaller, thinner spring). It's only there to keep the main spring seated, and if you're only interested in low it's not that important.
In the rear, you can remove the adjuster and just run the springs in place of the stock ones-without the 'coilover' part. It might be a little noisy and I've never done it myself, but I've heard of it being done.

i got v2's also it looks like ur front should go lower if thr spun all the way to fix problem u have to remove the spacer which gos between the top hat and the strut bearing and if u remove the helper spring it doesnt go lower not worth it when i got mines i drop the fronts all the way with 18's and couldn't even turn my wheels ur asking for trouble dude u will **** ur front fenders up and have to get them repainted trustme with stock or aftermaket wheels

Re: KW v2 - max lowering (necromanx13x)

my kw's are the same way...
i make the fronts go low enough to put the oil pan on the ground but the rears wont go NEARLY as low.
the one thing that i did find will make the rears go a bit lower(if you didnt already take this out) there is a little metal lip on the rear spring perches...take a chisel or something similar and knock it off, then re-mount your adjuster perches and springs back on.
OR
if you REALLY want to go low, take the adjuster knob off the rear adjuster perches. that will drop you at least another 1/4-1/2"

Right so Im set on the rear but I still have a problem with the front. In that picture the front is all the way down and like you said, you can go much lower. What is stopping me from lowering the front more? Also, do I need to cut the rear bumpstops, thanks.
