One, I have to say that the BBQ was great. Great people and beautiful cars. The tour of the facility was nice, I especially liked the Porsche 911 turbo on the dyno

And I got chipped today with stock/93 programs. My first test drive was weird trying to get used to the wheelhop. At first it I didn't notice that big of a difference, but later on when the BBQ was over and I started playing around I really noticed a big difference

Needless to say I had a fun 212 mile trip back home.

it was held at APR's facility in Auburn, AL. I'm guess a couple hundred people were there and I'm pretty sure its a annual event.

Actually i have an AWW 01 GTI. If i didn't win the first VAG-COM i would have thought the whole thing was rigged. For instance that girl who one 3 times in a row! And it seemed like the APR guy's knew most of the winners. Alas i am much appreciative. I didnt bring my car but i brought my ECU, too bad its pouring out and my car is without ECU now. Im having trouble with the waiting. I think ill set up a tarp if it doesn't clear up. Cheers to APR and that crazy R&D they do!

My wife, the kids, and I all had a blast. The drive as 705 miles each way from Houston, but it went by pretty well. The only bad parts were a jack-knifed 18 wheeler just west of Lake Charles, La on I-10, and then a detour to the east side of hell off of I-10 near Anahuac/Liberty, TX.
But what really sucks is that I travelled over 1400 miles at speeds ranging between 75-120MPH with no problems. This morning I pull out of my driveway and I got pulled over. I mean literally pulled out of my driveway, put it in 1st and the cop turned his lights on. Nothing like having your neighbors stare at you...

Registration was out of date. I had the new sticker, but my windshield was cracked so I never put it on because I wanted to get the windshield replaced. It was only a warning, but it sucked because it was in my neighborhood, virtually in front of my house. I'm just glad my 3yr old didn't see it, because she was waving bye to me out the window as I was leaving. I wouldn't want to explain to her why the cop stopped daddy.
