A quick question about a wheel size clearing my brakes..

Alright, I'm looking at getting 14x8 ET 18 wheels up front and my
question is: will these wheels clear my 10.1 inch brakes? thanks

Yes and some GLI's with 10.1 brakes had 14 inch wheels.

well i'm more concerned about the offset of 18, as i am no expert on wheel offsets. I'm looking to get some help from an expert or someone who has run a similar offset http://****************.com/smile/emgift.gif

An offset of 18 is gonna poke out like crazy. The lower the number the farther out the wheel will stick out from the hub.

I don't mind poke, the fronts got 195/45 rubber so i don't think i'll rub
too much up front, but the back wheels are 14x9 ET18 225/40, think
i'll rub in the back with unmodified arches?

Yeh you'll rub in the back if you are low.
