Those are beautiful...

How you like the ride? I've been in A1 GLi with the Variant II setup but I can't tell in the pic if it's the same or not. It rodes pretty good but it's a lot of cash...
How would you compare these to to the Bilsteins Sports? I'm debating on what to get for my rabbit.

VWRus,
Yeah that's a dent.....I have no friggen idea how it got there but it's there.....I guess that's an excuse to get the whole car blocked and painted....

EricB,
She's on a no bumps diet at that ride height. No rubbing even when I hit a nice bumb but I wouldn't want to do it again. It will probably get raised a little. Or I may leave it there and buy some 45 series rubber.
Chapel,
I can't really say what I paid but I think my friend Jay doubleJmotorwerks.com is selling mk1 non adjustables for like $849. Trying to keep it lower than the other guy.
The ride is stiff but it is sooooo smooth. I like it alot. Keep in mind that this car will never see a track. I bought coils because I didn't want to buy springs again and not be happpy with the ride or the drop. This way I can change the drop to whatever I want. And the ride is excellent.

well.... i would have to disagree with ya there.. my rocco is just as low and handles very nice

It's well known that the VW suspension design doesn't work well when significantly lowerd. The front roll-center is underground, and the bump-steer is very bad. It has to do w/ the lower control arm angle and the tie-rod angle.

Wow, I'm going to have to join the crowd and give it a nice big http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif What's the total lowering you have now. Any ideas?
