I see people wanting stock ecu's + cash for their revo or giac ecus..Is there anyways to do this? VW switched to the geko system..i know revo you can do it if it has the immobiliser defeat but pretty much no more ecu's can be swapped around..correct me if im wrong..thanks

Re: No more ecu swapping (mattnsac)

you can't do it wit vag-com but it can be done at the dealer, it's the same **** but the dealer goes online with their computer and connects to vw and then the program runs the programing so that way even a trained monkey could do it

Im aware of that but his comment about still being able to do it posede my question of being able to do it with vagcom. He is a uni dealer so he can access clusters and immobolizer independent of geko(or at least I assume thats the case).

actually if you go to ross-techs FAQ page 4 and look at 4.15 youll see that they have no way of dealing with getting the SKC now that VAG went to the GEKO system. Im speculating on how Sean can do it. If you can still do it with VAG COM lemme know.

It can be done. The login is extracted from data on the ECU. (not using VAG-COM)
VAG-COM is only used to do the adaptaion of the new ECU/etc. just use the login code not the SKC and WSC and follow the old ROSS-TECH steps.
