Alright i have done some searching and i am unable to find a package of lowering coilovers for my 2000 mk4 2 door tdi. I would prefer something that i could possibly change from a 0 to 4 inch drop or something to this matter. If anyone has a good distributor they could please leave the link for me. If possible i would prefer to order from canada just to keep the shipping costs down. They dont have to be top of the line racing springs im just looking at an economical way of bringing my golf a little lower to the ground.
Thanks in advance http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

you better buy a skid plate. the 1.9L oil pan is super low as it is.

Search for skidplate etc etc you'll find all the answers.

I don't think you want to be lowered more than 2" in the winter in Saskatoon. ****ty unplowed roads = crappy driving in winter, trust me i'm only lowered like 1.5" and the Plastic Skidplate on my tdi is constantly scraping.
EDIT: BTW i'm in saskatoon for school too.....

alright cool thank you for the link yes thats the reason why i am looking for something adjustable so mabye i could bump it up and inch or two for winter driving. Your right the winter driving here is not all that great. Do you think i will need a lift to install the skid plate? or is it do able with a crawler? If some one could pease leave me a link for ad adequate lowering kit
thanks

They are located in Calgary and carry FK suspension.
Remember...the TDI oil pan is crazy low...have to be REALLY careful. The ice chunks (chunks of snow that fall off peoples mudflaps) on the roads these days are freaking scary.
To install a skidplate you could do it by jacking the car up and putting it on stands.

Re: (onepointniner td)

diesel geek.com has a good skidplate but it is 275.00 us but I am going to do a custom one because it is to much...
I dropped my TDI 2 inches and it only scrapes on big bumps if I am going fast....
That is only because my car bounces all tha time because I have stock shocks

Yes the TDI pan is quite low. Im dropped 2 inches and its a close call. I would not take it any lower than that. I take it you Saskatchewan folk know where Williston, ND is??
