is it specifically in the parts dept or can i go to the actual dealer part, bc they are opened but the parts dept is closed

other engines can use any kind of coolant.... and last longer than vws.....

Because that's the coolant the system was designed for. Coolant type has nothing to do with engine life, or very little anyway.

yeah, i just thought cooling is cooling. i wouldn't mix coolants but wondered about using a different coolant after a flush. coolant just changes the freeze/boiling point and keeps the corrosion lower.

G12 contains no phosphates and something else which protects agains corrosion and keeps the coolant system clean.

it has to do with what G12 has, and how its silicone based ( i think?) instead of something else. Most cars dont use this, so if you mix it up you wil damage the seals. Wait till you get the OEM stuff dude.
