I am very interested in getting the GIAC X+ sofware. I asked AWE if what I was running on my car right would be OK. Basically a Forge 007DV and a 3"-2.5" Milltek turboback exhaust. The fellow mentioned that GIAC DOES NOT recommend a 3" exhaust. Does anyone here have this setup, GIAC X+ and any 3" DP exhaust? I am just curious why a more "open" exhaust is not recommended. Thanks in advance.

Technically, it didn't blow. And I took the inlet off to do some logs and was going to put it back on afterwards, hence no screen. And it did it the first time I got in boost and I knew what it was instantly and limped home. Besides, it's a K03 and I've been planning an upgrade for quite some time. Even with bent fins, the car still ran a 13.9@100 on pump gas in street trim.

They don't recommend it because the X+ itself is an very aggressive chip and a 3" DP could cause even higher spikes which is detrimental to the turbo.

bs dude just do it a kid dyno a few weeks back and made 187whp and 234wtq on a mustang dyno with only

Do you have any evidence this is true? When I tested a 3"/3" vs 3'/2.5" on a 500hp engine, there was no difference
