What the hell are you smoking? Seriously. These are yellow yes, but the similarities end there.
Pyle is utter crap.
I have Focal Utopias and Poly-Kevlars in a custom tri-amped three-way front stage. I am also a IASCA competitor.
Utopia Tn-52's
Poly-Kevlar 136K's
Utopia 5WS's

just remembr with audio components you often get what you pay for when you go off brand and pyle is not the most renouned names. Try and find some infinities, alpines, panasonics, anything from a known brand at a reasonable price, you will be thankful you did in the long run.

Re: (MK3NORTH)

im not looking for more bass...just speakers can handle what the stock HU puts out...the stock ones sound great for most bass to me, they just distort when songs hit harder...
all i want is a pair of speakers that sound the same in addition to taking what the HU can pump out
would those kenwoods from peoples_car be a good replacement?
btw you can get them used from elsewhere for waaay cheaper

I'm puttin' on my flame suit for YOU. Audiobahn AS65Q's. You asked about this in my old thread, too. So far, these speakers have been just fine.

Re: (agentsmith988)

All the brands i mentioned above will be way better in terms of construction, materials used and overall sound quality.
Take a look at their sites, check some prices, get out and audition some models for yourself, thing is, all of the specs in the box are useless unless you like how they sound.
Save a little bit more for something that will last and please your ears in the long run, something that you dont want to change 6 months after you bought, listen to me dammit, been there done that, if only anyone would give me an advice like this when i started getting interesten in car audio, i would have my dream system right now.
Im using these, DLS Ultimate reference http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

voicecoil, bigger than a JL Audio W3V2 sub, good enough to handle 150 watts rms +

how are these?

Cheap, entry line coaxial, but what do you expect? they use a glued paper diaphragm to act as a tweeter

You know what? get the Pyles, or whatever you want to afford for now, ask the same question in a couple of months.
A little reading goes a long way, might try http://www.carsound.com forums, just take a peek, you wont be dissapointed.

Re: (Mex gti)

There are much better speakers listed in here, although all are more pricey than the pyles. As suggested, I'd go with just entry level of a high quality brand, like ones listed above. In your original, you said you wanted better low end response, and if that's the case...still just get an 8", it will help enormously whether you need more lower end or not. And when you said that you want speakers to "taking what the stock HU can pump out" well, the HU isn't that great and most HUs will distrot the signal at higher volumes, regardless of what speakers you're running. Nothing is going to sound that great through unamplified speakers, stock, 2-ways or Boston Acoustic components. You're basically stuck with sub par sound until you start amplifying. If you don't want to go that route yet, just get something like some alpine s-type 2 ways or the infinity references above. Just go to a local audio place and see what sounds alright to you, or if you can, find someone who has them in a vehicle. Good luck figuring your stuff out. There's no need to spend 150+ on a pair of components for what you want.
