Both 2 door and 4 door versions are available, with DSG option, 250ps, and 4motion.
Prices start at 4,190,000 yen for 2 door and 4,390,000 yen for 4 door.

That sounds incredibly cheap compared to a S204

It's a typo, it actually is 4,190,000 yen for 2 door and 4,390,000

And its already lost the totally awesometastic seats the european versions have.

If I'm not mistaken, those are the standard seats with the really cool Recaros as an option.

So I guess that Japan (same as Europe) won't get an R36, eh?

Why isn't Europe getting the R36?
(i'm out of the loop on this one, or it just slipped my mind)

As far as I remember the 3.6 is for the USDM. We get that engine in the Toureag, Passat, and R36.

That still amazes me... when was the last time the US actually got a better version of a car than the rest of the world? (assuming, at this point, that it will be better.

Edit: a little further thinking about this, and I answered my own question... we are getting the 'better' MkV R3x to make up for the fact that by the time we get it, the rest of the world will already be on to the MkVI.

Check out the latest update on the MKV R32 forum....VW is having issues getting a tranny to work with the 3.6 in an MKV Golf. Looks like we'll probably get an R32 here NOT an R36.

I see. I didn't realize that was the case.
Either way I hope we see it.
