So what setting do they have stock for Boost, Timing and Fuel ?
I might go with Revo but I heard they have some problems with it, although the service manager where I take my car to swears by it.

I honestly do not know the answer to that since the only I was looking at was the NEW changes. However, I'm pretty sure the fuel setting will always stay on 9, even at stock. Your tuner should be able to give you more specifics.
I've heard of no problems and experienced no problems. You'll like it, I promise!

Re: (bartkim)

BTW, with REVO the boost can up to 9 which is labeled as "aggressive". I'd stay away from that. The setting of 6 is ideal for 93 octane and REVO said it "could" be set at 7, but 6 is a little more ideal. A setting of 5 is common for 91 octane.

Does anyone know what the spec's change to with stock GLI w/ revo for 0-60 and 1/4 mile??

A REVO'd Jetta will do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and run the 1/4 in 10.11 @ 185 mph. Tell everyone you know you read it on the internet.

Bart, thanks for the info. I guess its very easy for Revo to put the car back to stock settings?
When does it pull? 3rd gear?

Not really easy for me. The REVO tuner is over 100 miles roundtrip away. I may get the switch when it comes out to switch back to stock if a trip to the dealer is needed.
I'm pretty sure 3rd gear will pull over 7 grand. There's really almost too much power for 1st and 2nd. Wish the car had AWD.

Where exactly on the internet did you find that Sparky?
IM me if you do not want to post.

Re: (bartkim)

I had neuspeed flash my GTI and now, and if I actually drive the car nicely, I get better mileage than stock. I believe this is because the timing is advanced a little. Im sure most tuners do basically the same things to the program.

How long did you guys wait till you chipped your cars?

I was out at NGP yesterday and a guy with a 06 GTI got the APR flshc done with only 1,000miles on his car
I was getting my 10K service, no more DRL's and remote roll up/down
Got a ride in the GTI after the chip(93octane) and it was FAST!

Hey Focalblur, that was me gettin the GTI flashed at NGP!. Hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I enjoyed your company waiting for the flash to be done. Thanks for the tips as I love the remote features and losing the DRL's. By the way, the ride home was awesome. I let my wife drive it to work yesterday and now I can't get her out of it....only problem is you are now doing 100 mph before you know it!! Simply amazing! Take care!

I have a REVO flashed ecu on my 337. Very reliable. I have had no issues at all. I am running a 3bar, 2.5" full apr tb, ghl intake, and a forge 007 dv. No issues, and I have 63,xxx miles.
I would bet on REVO ecu upgrades. The tech here in austin had numerous issues when using APR ecu upgrades, and said their customer service sucked.
If in or around Austin, check out the Autostrada Lotus dealership. This is the only authorized REVO dealer in Austin last I checked.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why the excitement over LOSING the DRL's.? Is it a desire to make it more like the cars of the '90s, or just a desire to lose a safety feature. Anyone taking out their airbags to save some weight?
