anybody do the TDI midpipe mod on a VR6 ?

i did it on my 1.8T and i *think* it improved gas mileage a little but it also made a lot more (not so good sounding) exhaust noise. anybody do it? is there a lot more exhaust noise?

you mean delete the resonator? if so, i dont think that would free up much more backpressure.... even if it did... you'd maybe get a little better mileage on the highway...

...and wouldnt it be called a VR6 midpipe mod?

the part is oem on tdis, hence it being called the tdi midpipe.
the original poster is correct.
