I have an 88 golf gl with ac(if that matters) can someone tell me what engine manegment my car has, or just how to tell.
also if anyone knows the pros and cons of wwhat I have that would be great

if there is a big black box of mystery...you have digi.

It would actually be like a larger black plastic box.

Should be Digifant. Unless you have a bunch of fuel lines coming out of the top of the airbox...

Digifant II is the system that should be in your car..look on the passenger side of the hood...near the light...there should be a large black plastic airbox there...if it has a metal top with braided steel lines coming from it...it's CIS-E...if it's all black and plastic...it's Digifant II. ..Yes Digifant II ...Digifant I was only used in the Corrado G60 here in the states. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
