I read somewhere that borg warner is still the supplier. From what I remember it's a new version of the K03S. |

that's what I was understanding, then I heard that kkk and borg warner merged, which may be bad or good, depending on whose prints they are using

KKK and Schwitzer combined to make borg-warner IIRC. They haven't been the same until they merged. |

The vendor for the turbo is KKK. |

variable area turbine nozzles for the win! More vehicles need to come with them IMHO. You can get the best of both worlds that way... |

VNT turbos aren't used on gas engines because the variable vane mechanisms can't tolerate the high EGTs of gas engines. Of course, Porsche has figured out how to make them reliable enough that the turbos on the new 997TT are VNT turbos (made by KKK, which calls their variable mechnaism "Variable Geometry Turbine"). Dodge had a turbo 4-cylinder that had a VNT turbo on it but it was notoriously unreliable due to turbo failure. |

Borg-warner makes the K series turbos, such as the K03. |
