Had time to snap a few pics when I was up on campus today. Simon Fraser University on Burnaby Mountain, British Columbia, Canada, overlooking the rockies. First time doing this so i know it sucks but whatever...

Well, this batch of photos doesn't "suck". They're actually an improvement on your night shots. That said, whatever you're doing to resize/prep your images isn't working all that well...
Try grabbing Photoshop or Photoshop Elements (much more affordable than its big brother and will do pretty much everything you need to do with it) and resize your images to a maximum dimension of 600 or 800 pixels. And hit up the Photography Forum here for tips, ideas, comments, and critique. It'll help you do an even better job the next time you head out the door with your camera.
Pssst... those aren't the Rockies. The Rockies are are several hundred kilometres east on the BC/Alberta border. The mountains in your shots are part of the Coast Range.

haha, i was about to point out that those are not the rockies!
Pictures look ok, I guess . . . I don't know, i'm not exactly in a position to critique someone's photpgraphy but . . . well keep working on it I guess.
