I bought a non-running 1991 German-Built
Jetta Carat form my VW dealer sales dept today for $300. It was towed and traded in at work. This thing is funny because it's slightly riced out
It it red with a few decals on the inside and outside. It has a tip, marker lights in the fenders, Black leather seats from an A3, and some badly painted dash trim. It great.. the car lived in the bronx recently(carfax rept.) and has this huge chain locked around the braces inside the trunk lid, and they would pull the chain thru the armrest hole in the back seat and hook over a bracket so the trunk couldn't be opened. Supposedly, the motor doesent run and doesen't crank and has a bad oil pump
The battery is this tiny everstart POS wired to the inner fender, there's a used oil pump in the trunk, and the motor oil smells great.
Well, we'll see, I guess. I've only had it for 6 hours, after all
