Yeah I had the 215/50-13s on the 13X7 Compys. By far the best drive-to-the-track DOT race tire I have used, great daily driver grip for not too much money but they do have some drawbacks. The tread pattern can drone at certain speeds, sounds like 4X4 mudder tires on the freeway! I also had lots of problems with getting them balanced, never had a matching pair roundness-wise, but from what I have heard that is worse with the wider versions - 195 or 205 should be OK. Although they work well in the wet they don't like deep water.
This summer I'm going to try Kumho's new ECSTA V700 DOT race rubber - they cost less at least (under $100 for 215/50-13!), and initial reports are very positive.
