I just bought a B6 audi S4, and I was wondering, is that faster than an r32?... What im trying to say is, unless you go FI, as there any way for an R32 to beat an S4??? I really want to know the power difference to the ground... thanks

theres a vid around witha r32(chip,exh,cai....maybe a few other mods), an audi tt, and a s4. In the vid the S4 and .:R are side by side until the S4 starts to pull away. I believe the S4 had cat back and chip

Well what do you mean by faster? Do you mean if you saw a guy in an R32 and if both of you stomp on the gas who would get to the next light first? Youre gonna have to be specific. Or are you talking about on a road course, or an autox event, or at the drags?...
In the meantime ill say this much...all i know about the s4 is its about 340bhp/302tq and very heavy...roughly 3900lbs. Dont know if this helps

obviously i could have thought of that too dumb ***, the reason i want to know is because i dont have the S4 in my posession and i wanted to know from people with EXPERIENCE with both cars... If i wanted smart ass comments like the one you made what would have been the point for this thread... keep your non helpful comments to yourself

I own both cars and the S4 is faster. Me and my wife have swapped cars and the S4 is faster, so it is not driver related. We will both say that my R32 feels faster, but the S4 pulls away every time. The R32 is quicker at the launch but by the end of second gear the S4 starts pulling away.
Talk to me after May 13th and you will see how a EIP Stage 1 fairs against an S4. Will still be cheaper and I am guessing a lot faster.

Yes I can see now that was just crazy and overly-assumptive talk on my part.
And my bad again for suggesting to take both cars to an actual proving ground, using the same driver, and comparing real metrics so that you may have a comparison of worth and put the question to rest.
Yes I can see now that subjective impression and "feel" is a better way to measure fastness and win-ability.
...and I'm the "dumb ***". C'mon...
