you can do so many engine swaps its not funny depending on what you want
you can swap a 2.0 block and keep the head and fuel MNGMNT u have
you can swap a complete 1.8 or 2.0 DOHC 16v engine
you can swap a boat anchor VR6

you can use a supercharged grenade launching G60 or a turbocharged 20v 1.8T
if you wanna get creative wait a month and buy a wrecked W8 4motion passat
depends on what you want and how fat your wallet is dude
now do a search and figure out what it is you want and then search and you will find out how to do it

Re: newbie questions (monoxide)

if you live in north america you have a 1.8
dutchman is the only one on here with a 1.3 and he lives in the netherlands
i think the smallest engine we had here was a 1.6 and that was in the mk1 VW's
try searching on google for adrenalin motorsports, momentum motorsports, rpi-equipped, vw engine swaps
im sure you'll come up with something
also the search function on here at the top right corner of the page

Also you can pick up a number of magazines that will have ads for everything from A to Z that you might need. Try picking up EuroTuner, Performance VW or European Car. Also try searching for Neuspeed, Techtonics, Eurosport, Autotech or Ottengier if you got $. Happy tuning

Re: newbie questions (Blindsider)

As far as body kits, 1phtgti was right. Your car has 'big bumpers' and that is generally what most people get. There is also the reiger RS bumper, but most people don't really like that. I would suggest getting a VR6 lip, or a 16v lip. Also, you can get g60 flairs. They bludge out farther than flairs you currently have, and make the car look better.
Try this website, it has some good info about engine swaps,

Check out the DIY section, Digifant engine section, and links. It should help you.

Re: newbie questions (monoxide)

not really any interesting bodykits, it's not a very areo dyamanic car. I would save up for a set of coil-covers and rims. Really could work from there. Also a rallye grill is nice. A scirocco pop-up sunroof, could be a body modifaction. A fancy antenna would be a body extra. Chrome Audi door handles, etc. the list never ends.
