Jetta outside right taillight blinks with the blinker

Only on the passenger side does this happen. The wiring for the rear lighting has not been messed with at all, just the front blinker/side marker blinker mod... but I just noticed this today, and the front blinker mod was done about 10 months ago, so I would think I would have noticed by now if my mod caused it. I am pretty certain this is a recent thing.
Any thoughts on this one?

check and replace all the lights in the back blinker assembly....
when they blink irregular its usually from one of the bULBS

Hmmm... I just found the driver's side rear brake light to be out... and the passenger side one still works, but the bulb is separating from the metal part. I think you got if figured correctly... we'll see in a bit.
