Re: New wheels on the C5 (BltByKrmn)

Looks good. Just remember to get a good alignment after lowering. The Z06 alignment specs are a lot better than what the normal C5 has. If you get it done by a 'Vette shop, have then retorque all the suspension bolts too.

thanks guys http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
I got them for a steal, $600 shipped with tires. Not bad for a $2000 option. They have plenty of life left on the front tires but the rears only have about ~5k left on them. They are off a 2000+ so the tire pressure sensors don't work with my car, they will have to be changed to my 98's when I have the tires changed.
They were in perfect condition until I nipped a curb the other day.

Nice looking wheels. My sisters 50th vert has similiar wheels. My favs are still the ones from the C5 ZO6. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I like vette wheels, I have 95' ZR-1's on my Typhoon with 315 rear-width BFG's.

I gotta black 98 too. Yours looks great. Let me know how you like the swaybars. I was gonna go with hotchkis but for half the price I'm considering the z06s.

Are they really magnesium?? Just wondering, because the color always reminded me of Mag Kart wheels..

yes. they are really light, but they're also very soft and scratch easily. they were really expensive as an option. I think upwards of $2000.

Car looks great, those wheels rock. Question; if you were to remove the optional side molding, would the paint not match up well? I like it without it for some reason...

what sidemolding are we talking about here?

That looks superb!.
It is so refreshing to see a nice classy set of wheels instead of all these ones that look like 20" flattened McDonalds ashtrays.
(ok so we no longer have McDonalds ashtrays, but you get my meaning)
