hey, i am a noob here. this is my 2001, s4, 6spd. it is brilliant black with silver interior. as of right now it is very stock. the only modifications is an awe s-flo. this is my second car i upgraded from a 1998 honda accord v6. the s4 rocks my world, haha. i bought the car in february and have no money to mod it yet. plus, being a poor college student doesn't help. but, i have picked everything out, haha. i want to do the mtm chip, asp tru-dual exhaust, piggy pipes, stasis/koni coilovers, 18" rs4 wheels, 1996 a4 trunk, euro oem s4 bumper, samco tbb, samco f-hose, awe center vent boost gauge, dba rotors with mintex redbox pads, and bailey dv's. then finally ko4's when my stock ko3's go.

Re: noob (DxC)

I suggest u read a little more before modding ur car. As to ur car does not have the F hose. And i suggest that u put away atleast 1000 bux at any given time for this car. Because if u dont have hook up on dealer parts they can get expensive. Spark plugs for example 16.?? a pieace. Timing belt service if u dont do it urself will cost u roughly 1500 - 2000 depending on where u have it done and what u have replaced. but i doubt since u have a 2001 ur proably not even close to 100K.
If i would make one suggestion on what to buy. It would be the bently manual and if u dont have a friend that has vag com buy it. Its worth every penny. And deff read as much as u can.
the car can be a blast to own if u take care of it well.

i thought the early 2001's have the f-hose and smaller oil lines? yeah, i read up on the service for the car a lot of $. i intend to do the timing belt myself and buy the kit from ECS.

Poor college kid huh? I guess I qualify in that category too. Sophomore at Iowa State , how bout you?
So many plans so little money.

Holy friggin' crap, I could not imagine being in college and owning one of these cars. I drove a 72 Ford 1/2 ton truck when I was in college, and that was only 5 years ago...
