ok so this weekend im picking up my first rabbit.. im not sure what year or anything. this guy outside of fredrich, md has alot to chose from.. i know pretty much what i want out of it. i might even pick up the caddy he has there also. but is there any advice you can give a first time bunny owner?

Check for rust. A pillars, floors, fenders. Check for dampness on the carpets, fuse box damage, mold. Pretty much just find one with a decent body. Most important thing.

like he said...look for a good body.
you can rebuild every mechanical part of a rabbit in about a weekend, but rust/bodywork is not fun.
make sure you check the floors, the front strut towers, the rear apron, where the rear beam bolts to the chassis, and the gas filler.

thanx alot!!!! i will post many pictures of it when i pick one out!!
how hard is it to find the gti plaid seats? i seen those in a few rabbits and instantly fell in love!!

Plaid seats in anything resembling decent condition you will be hard pressed to find. Most likely if that's the look you want you will have to have some other seats re-apholstered.
