Re: (A2Euro)

that right there son is a big ass stroker motor. you will need megasquirt/spark to get your fueling and firing order down first of all. then HUGE cams think 300+ and itbs, with a full straigt pipe exhaust, so basically not really streetable. but it would sound hot and be mean as ****.

Re: (A2Euro)

youll need to send the head out to get worked to hell, atleast gasket match port and polish, valve job, skinny valves, polished combustion chamber, mill the surface and or get high compression pistons, 300+ degree cams, carbs or preferably itbs, 4-1 header, idle set to 2k, rev it out to about 9k redline
or you could just throw a small turbo on it and call it a day

Re: (L33t A2)

Now are we talkin 200 crank (so about 173 wheel) or 200 wheel (so about 230 crank)???
200wheel aint gonna happen pump gas daily...200 crank, easy.
MS on 45mm ITBs, 276 cams, 2.0l, good tuning, and your good to go.

Re: 190HP 16V 2.0 NATURALLY ASPIRATED? (THAT DUDE WITH THE GOLF)

I have A PVW somewhere..With A grey A2,with yellow mirrors, white comp wheels.. 2.o 16v had ITB and a bunch of work claimed 210HP... It may have been 2.1L

190hp from a 2.0 16v in your wet dreams. good luck with that.

My wet dreams are kinda nice... in fact, I remember one of them containing a certain little red 1.6L 16v pushing 234HP, oh, wait, that was real....so what was I dreaming about????
You guys are such haters, 190hp is not that hard.....Esp. with ITBs and standalone.... Even 190 wheel is attainable, even with street gas. Think 95.5mm forged crank, 236mm block, 159mm forged rods, 84.5mm forged pistons, 288 hydro cams, 11:1 compression, and your at or above 190 wheel hp on 91 octane....

1.6?

I don't think it would be as hard as some guys are making it out to be. the 16v head flows really well. punch it out to 2.1L with some forged JEs, 84.5mm bore, higher compression. Lighten everything to make it rev nice, port the head, get some Jenvey TBs, run standalone (megasquirt is cheap), get a nice header and exhaust, cams are a given, a strong tranny to transfer it all, and bingo.

so basically not really streetable.

230+ from a 1.6 is not, 190 from a 2.0L is daily driveable.
I have near 200 crank hp right now with 262 cams (yup, very flat) and I get 35mpg, and it drives like a dream...
