my buddy has an 88 jetta gli with some issues. 1st he pulled a car out of the weeds to make a driver thats been sitting for years. but the car will start kinda hard and then stall, start, stall, start, stall, start and run like complete crap at a low rpm then kick up to around 1000 but still kinda run crappy, the alternator makes a rattle noise, and the car will drive but sometimes will die as soon as some throttle is given before you can move. i noticed it does not have the coolant temp sensor for the guages hooked up nor is there a wire anymore that i could find. and i was thinking maybe the isv could be bad, bad gas, ????????
