Don't know the weight of the US stock 17" but the 18" huffs (Detroit as they are known in Europe) is 26.5 pounds.

US stock 17's are 23 lbs.

The tires weigh 25-27 lbs? I shipped my stock wheels and tires....they were just under 50 lbs....I thought they were heavier than 23?

uh...hello...sorry to jack your thread...in general is it lighter to have bigger wheels and lower profile tires, or smaller wheels and taller sidewalls (assuming the same model of wheel)? what about polar moment...would a lower profile tire be harder to spin or slow down? is there a site with tire weights...thanks

I was quoting 18" HUFF rim weight & I think BurntGauge was also quoting rim weight ( 17" US stock wheel )
The European 17" Monza stock rim is 23.32 lbs
I remember calculating combined Tyre/rim weights of 17" v 18" . (18" rim with larger tyre / lower profile was almost the same weight as 17" rim with 17" same make 'higher profile' tyre.....
