Re: New Tires For The R32! (Cleaf41)

Yep...I have them on the car. Havent had much time in the wet being in so cal but would I buy them again ? Yes !
Dry weather grip is amazing. I have tracked them 3 times and looking at the tread wear, you couldnt tell they have been on the track.
Tires are very predictable....even when sqealing they still give you the confidence one expects from a somewhat expensive tire.
Rubber, of course, is a little soft so your miles will not be fantastic...but you dont buy these tires to go to starbucks and to get 40k out of them !
For spirited driving they are amongst the best ...still not convinced ? then google Advan Neova and start reading the reviews

Just had a set of Nitto extrm 555's and LOVE the grip.Moving to south GA so I am not worried so much about all season issues just hot and sticky roads.

I was stationed in Valdosta GA. When it rains there it rains hard and fast. Standing water forms in the tire depressions and low spots. Do not underestimate the need for a tire that can handle wet roads. Also keep in mind when it rains hard down there the people drive

Must be a southern thing

Can I have some sweet tea now?

Re: New Tires For The R32! (BLEW 32)

I like my all season Kumho ASX in 235 width. I like the feel better than the stock Goodyear f1's. Admittedly less traction but they feel more gradual when pushed to that lesser limit of traction. I think though, I'll never buy the same set of tires twice. Sooo many choices, so little time.

Re: (Memphis R32)

I purchased the Nitto's 555, and I must say the grip in the rain and dry weather isn't bad at all

the advans are awesome-- oem fitment on evo's after all.
i can't see spending so much on a tire with such low treadwear unless they were for track only, in which case i'd go with r-comps.
that's why the falkens are so great- $112 per corner (for 17"). hankook rs2 are the same way- $99 a piece!-- for performance that i'd bet is literally a hair's breadth away from the advans.
