...Has now departed me. Yes, after 3 1/2 fine years of ownership, I have sold my formerly beloved 87 Chrysler Conquest TSi.
So, in rememberance of my first car, post up some pics of your first cars. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Here's a few of mine:

I have to search under 'Mazda 323' to find any decent pics of an 82 Mazda GLC sedan.
Anyways- mine looked just like that- tan and all- except mine had the U.S. sealed headlights.
Image

Brings back memories (wipes tear). I think this is the same dash used in the 85(?) to 93 B-series trucks.

1978... AND BEYOND!!

Great... I was introduced the same year as the Fairmont Futura.

My first car:

224 horsepower, 16V DOHC Lotus-designed head on a Chrysler 2.2 bottom end, five-speed manual trans.
I should be dead by now. Someone up there loves me.

Buick Skylark
Mine was beige, automatic, had great AC, and a great stereo. I can't remember what year the car was--probably around 1990. I went too fast around a corner, slid off the road and bent some of the front suspension and an axle. That's me being 16 and full of hormones. Now I'm 26 and full of hormones.
Image

The engine sounded like a parallel twin. I remember it being a very large iron four cylinder. It made a sort of bubble sound at idle. I got it up to 90 m.p.h. a time or two. The front end liked to lift up really high. I remember turning the steering wheel a little bit at 90 m.p.h. with hardly any feedback. Spooky.

Not posting 'cause its big.

Nice- so how did you start with a Mercedes, and end up with a Stang?(not that the stang is bad, but it seems almost a polar opposite from the Mercedes)

Wait! It's not beige! I thought all camrys are beige! TCL lies!!

Image
It also has a V6 (sadly not manual) and I do about 85 or so in the left lane behind some jerk going far too slow.
I am not your ordinary Camry driver.

Needs slammed on 15s.

(j/k, but it does need bigger wheels)

Lowering wouldn't be too bad, as the stock ride height is amazingly high. Those are 15" rims, although 17 or so wouldn't look out of place at all. Too bad most aftermarket rims would make me look like a drug dealer or riceboi.

Nice, I grew up in a blue Skylark. I think it was an 89 or a 90. I remember the speedo only went to 85 MPH, but it was a really nice car + held up well.

donated the accord about 9 months later when I graduated highschool and joined the army. about a year later I bought this:

as much as I have loved every car I've owned (had 2 240sx's after the civic and now have the volvo) I think the accord was my favorite car...it was "slow" but gave me plenty of performance, was extremely reliable, carried all my buddies, and was cheap to drive...sometimes I find myself wishing I had such a cheap and slow car again.
