Maybe it is their goal but nothing about that looks VW to me nor does it pay ANY homage to the original that I can spot.

I have to admit, if that is the scIROCco concept pictured is anything like the production car they can scratch my name off the potential buyers list.
That being said, a few people have changed the colors to something a bit less well... frog and catfish like and it does make a small difference:

The interior and materials look pretty cool though. Tone them down about 50% or more for production and change the colors and they could be pretty cool:

It needs to be less of a hatchback and more of a liftback coupe if that means anything to anyone. Oh, and the front end styling is horrible.

VW should scrap this plan,
this is an abortion on wheels that does not deserve to wear the Scirocco badge.Somethings are best left untouched,maybe just once break out the old tooling and truely revive a classic with updated suspension and drivetrain and then you got something.
I don't care what ya do to this thing,it just doesn't have it.
