Well my 01 GTI clutch was sticky and then after i noticed, the next day it was really difficult shifting into gears if they didn't grind them.

I need to know what good brands of clutches for a 1.8T. Anyone have any advise. Thanks for any help

G60 flywheel with Sachs VR6 clutch.
MJM Autohaus has some good deals.

I agree. Cheap and dependable. My VR6 clutch has 215k miles on it and is still going strong!

Re: 2001 1.8T Clutch... I think, went out... any good aftermarket clutches out there (VittoMRK4)

Is the VR6 enough for a 1.8T motor with many bolt-ons? Let's say I plan on finishing my exhaust, get a FMIC, and go Revo Stage 2, would an aftermarket Stage 2 clutch be a better bet than a VR6 one?

Anything up to a KO4 and you're fine with the VR6 clutch. Anything over a KO4 and recommend something a little more stout (i.e. SPEC, etc)
If you want the piece of mind with a Stage II clutch, that's up to you, but it's unneccesary spending based on the mods you mention above.

Yeah, I'm the type to overbuild when it's unnecessary, so if that's how it is, I need to make myself go with a VR6 clutch instead of a Stage 2 since I have no turbo swap plans

Thanks!
