What songs to test the Radio/Bass of GTI/GLI?

I will have my Passat in for service this Tuesday and I'll be looking at the GTI/GLI while I'm there.
I want to see if they have fixed those issues with the Radio/Bass. What song do you guys recommend?
Or can I just crank the volume up on Radio?
And does the 07s have Ipod-connector?

And yes, 07 GTIs have the aux jack in the glovebox IIRC.

That depends...
Do you want actual Bass notes that are distinguishable, or just thumpa.thumpa.thumpa?
Real Bass = anything with Albert King, or you could go with Jimi Live at the Filmore East, not to mention SRV.

There's Linkin Park - Frgt/10 (Alchemist ft. Chali 2na) that I use to test bass/treble seperation on headphones and speakers. One's that fail this test have this horrible sounding crackly noise at 2:06ish into the song. As a totally bass-y song. I'm wondering what you're talking about though. If you're testing actual quality, use a varity of music. I use this list for reference (when testing headphones, should be same for speakers.) To get a better idea, try burning a CD, the AUX jack is very lack luster when it comes to sound quality (especially when being fed off of an iPod. I'm not knocking iPods but truthfully speaking, they could have done much better with the audio processing.)

I don't like J-Kwon, btw. He needs to learn how to say Lamborghini Gallardo.

Is the treble way overboosted for anyone else? I have mine tuned all the way down and that works when the volume is low to medium, but when I turn things up loud the high frequencies are ear piercing.
