I think you'd need a tach converter to convert the signal from 6 (cylinder) to 4 (cylinder). Thanks for the bump, though!

Seems the only difference between the two is that the auto tranny clusters have a gear indicator light (or LCD), and the manual tranny ones don't. This means that if you are putting an auto cluster into a manual, you have to disable this by removing the bulb or LCD, and if you are putting a manual cluster into an auto, this feature will not be there. It will not stop you car from running just as it would normally. It just won't show what gear you are in, which you could easily see by looking down at your shifter.
