There is a plug that goes on the left side of the engine attached to the(stock setup) intake.This plug burned as well as the entire wire.Now my car idles ruff.
Am i in a major dilema or is this a easy fix.The plug also leads to a small hose that goes to the left side of the engine.

EVAP canister frequency valve tubing/hose and 2 pin electrical connector.
With an open hole in the hose the idle will be very bad.
Get a peice of fuel hose 3/8" inside diameter,and reroute from the Throttle body/Intake manifold side to the EVAP canister frequency valve.
Then repair the wiring,cut out the bad section,and solder/splice in new wiring.

The hoses/tubing Kris speaks of doesn't have anything to do with a aftermarket air cleaner. There is a nipple on your intake manifold located right next to the throttle body and it runs to the EVAP valve, none of this stuff should get touched when you are installing an air intake of some sort.

OH I ask because when the plug burned it melted the connecter that is attached to the intake hose so now that hose is no good .So now I have air escaping threw that hose.
hope you guys understand what im talking about.

where the intake starts follow that up to the black tube that bends behind the engine above the vw symbol that part is melted at the plug connector.

Re: -------->Need a hand:( (R3)

If its the hose that routes from the valve cover,on the top of the engine,to the throttle body hose (black,rubber tube that bends in a U shape) then its the Heated Crankcase Breather. Those often leak oil and oil vapors onto the exhaust manifol directly below the openings/clamp loactions and cause smells,If you're lucky,it will just catch fire.
