i think it was somewhere in norway... but it was roads with like 60 foot walls of snow on either side...

Nothing out of the ordinary up in the mountains, happens every year, in fact.

Doesn't the snow collapse onto the road? I wouldn't want to accidentally run into the side...

Usually they use huge snow blowers, as ploughs cant throw the snow above these high walls. I've been searching for good pics, but I cant find any

When Going To the Sun Road in Glacier Park opens every June, there's a section just east of Logan Pass known as the Big Drift where 30' snowbanks on either side of the road are common. I drove up to the pass on opening day last year, and it was incredible to see the snowbank towering over you. There's also a warning sign to "watch for falling snowdrifts".

I remember seeing a pic like this where a snowboarder (maybe a snowmobiler?) was jumping from one side to another, over people's heads. Probably a photoshop, but cool nonetheless.
