So, after parking under a tree, I got one too many facefulls of dirt after turning on the vents. I went to Home Depot and got a $3 home ventaliation filter...it says it even blocks bacteria! It had metal wires in it. I cut it big enough to cover the intake vent under my raintray and used a bungee cord to secure it. No more filty vents!

And it only took a few more minutes. Plus you don't have to worry about the bungy coming undone and having your filter pushed off the grate.
