Ever notice how ex-Police vehicles have cloth seats up front and vinyl seats in the rear?
Now you know why.

there used to be a couple of places in south Toronto along Queen St. E, there was one just east of Broadview on the southside near the library, a real dumpy looking lot, and then further down near Leslie besides the Duke Tavern there was a place that advervisted ex-cruisers but I don't know if they're still around or actually carry any, they were mostly various colored Crown Vics, might or might not have been actual cruisers.
There's alot of debate as to whether cop cars are actually souped up at all, from what I've read of those threads they're just standard issue Crown Vics with better suspension and more heavy duty parts, crash bars, but no serious power upgrades. Anything fancy would have been most likely removed or salvaged since the police work on their own vehicles at their own garages. You're better off buying a used Crown Vic or Caprice from a regular dealer? Just my 2 cents

I know police Crown Vics have the "Police Interceptor" package. Not sure what in entails though.

Popular Mechanics had a article years back comparing the Interceptor to the regular crown vic,

IIRC The police interceptor was actually slower because of the HD suspension and Brakes,

When I got pulled over on the 407 last fall, the cop told me another 8 kmh, and she would have hit her speed limiter. I believe the persuit cars go faster, but I think they're in limited supply, and don't let the wimmin drive them.

she was lying to you
Police cars are built for durability not Speed
remember you may be able to outrun a cop car but you'll never outrun a radio

Re: Ex-Police crusiers?? (Klutch)

check with insurance before you purchase, not sure if all companies insurance used cop cars.

I never mentioned what speed I was doing. Without that information, you have no basis to make that claim.

What speed were you going then and I'll tell you if she was lying or not.

I bet that badge has a part number...I'm sure you could buy one new through Ford and just put it in a standard crown Vic.....hell, I'ld like to put it on the back of my crappy mk1 jetta so I can have a Jetta Police Interceptor

Everytime i drive by there I tend to slow down because it tends to look like theres a cop with radar out
