And because you owned one? If DSMs are so great, why did you get rid of yours for a 240?
Corbic's old Talon:

Wow, she really does look nice in that pic. 160k miles when I sold it, and rusted to **** under all that shinny paint, both shock towers, rear under fenders, so forth.
I wanted RWD basically. Someone mentioned a Miata, whats the point? An RX-7 would be much perfered seeing its a coupe, has a ton more space, handels just as well and is a Rotary, I couldn't find a good example after wrecking my last one, however this 240 did pop up, and at $2,300, rust free, 114k miles, duel cam, damn straight I bought it. I even had a guy offer me $3,200 for it a week ago. I'd take it, but then what? I'm not going to find a clean FC or anything for that type of cash in the time course of a week or two.
Miata's are nice and all, however for the price, there are better solutions that meet my needs. (I'm also 6'5 and don't fit for **** in a NA).

I havent shipped anything to canada yet, but a choice soarer would be be one of the better deals IMO.
I advise any CLer importing to be weary of importing cars, as odometer rollbacks are a regular occurance here. If you purchase a car and want to find the original auction paperwork, I'd be happy to check it for you.
Keep in mind the auction grades, the cars listed above are all either accident repair cars or are in current need of repair, judging from their prices. If those really are landed prices than its not a bad deal.

Brian

Those cars are all 3.0's or 3.5's. The seller does have somes A's, and R's though. IIRC R is rebuild and A is repaint?
Import Concern does seem to do a good job, they list all the mods done to the cars, and then all the problems, cracked windshields, busted vents, torn seats, A/C does not work, et al. The one car I didn't list the mileage on is because the mileage is innaccurate. So forth.
I'm well aware that none of these are "mint/perfect" examples, however compared to the US Market, your US car equivelents have been just as trashed, modded and beat on, have more miles, more body damage, significant rust, and cost more.

I'm 6 foot 5 too. Like I said- there are ways to make the Miata roomier for the driver. The Miata is very lightweight and reliable and there is a ton of aftermarket for them. They even get good fuel economy. Oh- and are fairly easy to find.
An FC is going to weigh more than a Miata- and I am surprised you fit in an FC. I have never found one without a factory sunroof- and I can;t fit in there with the thicker headliner. I am sure an SE or GTUs without the sunroof would be close enough to make it work.

S far as finding an FC quick- what about this one?

I still have to find us-sepc headlights for a gtir. No N14 other than nx1600/2000 were sold here and they have different headlights.

you can use Infiniti G20 headlights with some minor modification. (you need to swap the infiniti sockets too)

Most of those cars pictures (minus member's Sunny and Alpina) are junk. Those Typhoons look like a typical '82 S-10/S-15 that hasn't been cared for. The same can be said for the FD RX-7 pictured. These look like paid for headaches.

Houston? Not to mention, repaint and rebuild and selling already?

Well, Tt is an FC RX7 in your price range. How far are you willing to travel? This one looks like a good survivor.

It's a POS, rusted and has a coolant light that comes and goes, but the levels are fine? Yeah.........
Never abused? Screams "secondary ports are seized because I never pushed it to +4,000 rpms ever"

Re: (Corbic)

Felt like i should write something
im doing research and saving up to import a silvia s14 from Japan, why because i want the 2L turbo engine that came with the K models. Sure i could buy a s14 from the states (can't seem to find one in Ontario)
Image
and put a turbo in or swap the engine. But the K models also came with lsd. So in my case id rather buy a stock, factory built s14 then buy a NA one and swap stuff in.
But all in all the stock cars in Japan look like they are in better shape.
p.s anyone know, that when importing to Ontario if the ships carrying the cars come directly to ON or do they just come to BC and then ship the car by road to ON?

how is the ship going to come directly to Ontario? It goes as far as BC and then train it from there I guess.
