Is a 2000 VW Jetta with 130k miles and a dent worth $5000?

ok so here's the deal:
i m looking at this 2000 jetta for $5000 when it blue booked out at 5,488...its got 130,000 miles. and has a minor dent in front fender.
good deal or bad deal.

bad deal. I wouldn't touch a MK4 in that price range. Look for a civic or accord

Any particular reason or are you hoping to increase the overall market value?

What engine? 2.0?
How's the maintenance?
Do you know what VAG-COM is? If not, are you willing to learn how to work on your car?

And, with body damage, get that thing down to $4500, assuming perfect maintenance, and everything else is in very good or excellent condition. Doubtful.
Oh, and if it's an automatic, RUN AWAY.
