Anybody have dealings with Patatron.com? (Megasquirt ECU seller)

Anyone have any opinions of this guy? I've purchased a $310 megasquirt ECU from him almost a month ago and nothin, no email responses either.

I ordered other MS parts from DIYautotune and had them in a week...

These guys are top notch...
I ordered from Patatron cuz their ECUs come pre-loaded with 16V fuel tables...looks like the shortcut wasn't so short...
Hope I'm not up sh^t's creek....

He kept my $340 for a set of mounts for over 6 months, kept making all kinds of excuses, would not return calls or email. He finally pp me back $350 and with the PP fees the whole exercise cost me 45 cents and months of wondering and waiting and of course I still don't have any mounts. I got my MS from RS Autosports and they were super easy to deal with and FAST. I don't care what anyone says about his character, he is no businessman.

Pat is a great guy, i know him personaly. He would never "screw someone" he is honest and fair, one man operations can be a little overwhelming when business quadruples in a weeks time. Give him a phone call or contact him via patatron.com, i'm sure he doesn't have time to search the MK1 threads for crap like this.

I've sent him 3 unanswered emails from 2 different accounts (in case his spam blocker is blocking one)
I'm just apprehensive enough just delving into MS, that I don't need the project to start this way.
If you know him personally, do me a favour and give him some encouragement

Don't worry, he'll send you the product. My friend hasn't received his either, and he placed an order over a month ago. But hes just really busy and running a one man show. You've just gotta understand that. He definitely wouldn't f anyone over.

No offense to Pat and I know people seem to do their fair share of nut swinging around here, so I'm sure I will get roasted for making a logically suggestion.
But what about shutting down the order side of your website until you are caught up?
Sitting on people's money, because of no space/no help issues is weak. I have no doubt that your product is amazing as people seem to only rave about it when they get them, but you will loose more sales not responding to people/sitting on their money. Then saying hey, I am in over my head and need some time to get caught up.
Do you think dude who made this post or the few others I have seen lately will buy from you again? Who do you think he will recommend to his friends in the future? Not trying to ball bust, just trying to share what I have learned.
Puts on flame suit and runs away.

He JUST replied to me via paypal claim resolution...that was my unfortunate last resort.
I hope the long nights and overtime hasn't resulted in cross wired diodes...

this is why people stop building stuff for the mk1 comunity. im not saying that pats business practices are flawless, but when there is already 5 threads addressing the same issue, there is no need to post more, and then people with other un-related issues with the same person chime in with their already handled issues, it becomes ridiculous.
pat has literally thousands of transactions done through this an other websites. yes he does take a while to get to some things out, but the fact is he either ships it out or refunds the money. call me a "nutswinger" or whatever you want, im just relaying info to try to help the situation

Logic? Vortex? hmmmpf. Stupid minnesotans. Actually, I had thought the same thing, 20v'r. Just say "I am sorry, but am not able to take your order due to being backlogged". I am sure most business would not say that. But an ETA based on being backlogged would not be so bad. People are still willing to wait if they are told the truth, or are warned. I back pat up, but I can stil rib him if he ain't doing so well. Trust me, people at work let me know when I am f'ing up. I just return the favor

And I agree with Rally, too. I have no clue how busy the guy is, but if he is doing 5 to 8 a day... Holy crap. Dude, 5 bad posts and all this stuff? LOL That ain't bad. And people got thier money back.
LOL I am having fun. I say we all have a caravan up to PNW and beat his ass. but like a true vortexer, nothing will happen. We'll just sit inthe parking lot and sulk. Or go on our cell phones and text how lame he is.

And I'm still waiting after he has my $560 for 2 months now. He has replied to my repeated emails ONCE since I gave him money, 2 weeks ago now saying my stuff would ship out a week and a half ago... and yeah, nothing. Very frustrated. I was specificly told 2 weeks max when I paid. I also got an email response within 5 minutes every time I emailed him untill the moment I paid him.
