Re: 2.0 ABA swap technote (84SciroccoX-FLOW)

FYI - the "4-pt subframe" won't do bubkus for preventing your cracks from returning (...crack is whack...

).
You need to get a cross-member brace - I just don't know if they're still available (do a search). Oh - and don't run a front mount anything stiffer than the TT HD mount... http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

No disrespect intended, but the short life-span of your mounts is not a function of the mounts, but the installation. If there's tension on the mounts with the motor not operating, there's going to be even more after...

Im curious why you are running digi instead of the ABA fuel injection?

digifant II is much simplier and less wiring. when i did the swap all i had was the OBD II ecu and thats not much help w/o the harness, i had a parts DIGI II jetta so i just used that.

the hood props up with 4 bolts, 2 each side. loosen all 4, take out the 2 rear get some nuts for the bolts, put the nuts and bolts on to through the hole and tighten the front 2 bolts, it will rest on the rear nuts/bolts and will sit higher, if u run the ABA 2.0 the manifold will hit the hood and some cases the throttle body will cut through the hood xD

well my frame is welded and all i need now is a front x-memeber brace.
